Performances At Least Four Each Year! At Melodic Music Studio we believe that part of learning music and aprreciating it is the performance of it. It is a way of expressing themsleves in front of others and to let others see the hard work they have done. Performances are NEVER required of any student. We always encourage our students to perform however we understand for some this is uncomfortable area. Students will decide if they will perform and which pieces. If it is your first recital you are NOT required to memorize your pieces. However you are greatly encouraged. If student will be using music they need to have a black 3 ring binder to carry the music in. If it is not you first recital you will need to have your music memorized. For Piano students we will decide together if you need the music or not. Although memorized is always the goal we are aware how hard that is for many pieces. Performers will need to be in nice clothes. This means button up shirts for the gentleman with nice pants, ties are optional. For the girl it means a dress or a nice blouse with a skirt or nice pants. I do not expect prom dresses or tuxedos. We all want to do our best at the performances and we should all look our best too. |
